Our Spiritual Director

A full-time ecumenical spiritual director based in the Texas Hill Country near New Braunfels, Texas, Suzanne Broussard gives workshops and courses on spirituality. Additionally, she leads days of prayer and retreats for congregations and retreat centers, including Lebh Shomea House of Prayer in Sarita, Texas. She has facilitated workshops at Oblate Renewal Center in San Antonio, Texas, for the “People of the Pilgrimage” as well as for other contemplative groups. She founded Gardener’s House of Prayer in 2004 and is the spiritual director for the community.

Suzanne received certification as a Spiritual Director from The Center for Spiritual Growth and The Contemplative Life in San Antonio in 2004. She continues her theological studies at Oblate School of Theology and through the Tradition of Christian Mysticism program sponsored by The Ecumenical Center, Contemplative Outreach of San Antonio, and Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio. Suzanne is a member of Spiritual Directors International and Spiritual Directors of The Center for Spiritual Growth and the Contemplative Life. She subscribes to their code of ethics.

Suzanne's interests include gardening, visual art journaling, prayer, the study of the early monastics and contemplatives, social justice and the company of good friends.
